The design team of Mazey and Schell have worked together for over 30 years. In Manhattan, as graphic artists, their designs quickly became art posters, puzzles, games, print ads, architectural renderings, award winning window displays, and cover art for many Fantasy and Science Fiction magazines. Their first wood pieces were numbered and signed crescent moon mobiles in over 40 styles which were sold in boutique shops and galleries worldwide in the 70s and 80s. The first piece of handcrafted wood furniture Mazey and Schell produced was titled the Rainbow Parrot (a dining room table) and was featured in the premiere issue of the Home section of The New York Times. These new wood creations, The Garden Series are hand-crafted and decorated with process art cropped and re-cycled from gardening magazines so the work is ever changing, one of a kind and unique.
